Dulcote Agate microcrystalline variety with varied colors from the quartz group. Zonation is due to cyclic crystallization. We import this agate directly from the Dulcote mine south of Bristol in England. The name agate is not entirely appropriate as it is an aggregate of red and/or purple agate, red jasper, quartz, and calcite.
